  • Complex projects in which the owner lacks the experience for meaningful participation and must rely on a contractor with the experience and expertise

  • Firms that have successfully completed similar projects on a design-build basis should be considered.
  • Experienced design-builders can provide owners with a Contractor’s Qualifications Statement outlining their capabilities and qualifications to complete projects.

contracting allows owners to contract with a single source for the planning, design, construction and start-up of their facilities.  It also creates a single entity with whom the owner deals, thus easing coordination between the contracting parties.
